Daniel J. Huey

I am going to miss talking with Huey. I'm going to miss him always coming in the baggage room to get his NewYork Times so that he could do his crossword puzzles. I most missed Dan once he retired from Amtrak.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dan just after he began working at Amtrak (at least four decades ago!). On lots of occasions I accompanied Dan when he played or sang - what a wonderful musician he was! We also spent many an hour discussing the books we had been reading. I never came away from spending time with Dan that I didn't have a smile my face - he had a way of bringing out the best in everyone. (Not to mention that he was generous to a fault.) I was saddened that I didn't hear of...
