Read MoreDan and I were best buds growing up in Cherry Valley (Weston Rd & Cherry Rd.) back in 1954-1962. We embarked on a journey into the US Air Force on the same day in 1962. Spent 5 weeks together in the same barracks and then parted ways. Last time I saw him was at my mothers wake in Sept, 2000.
May he RIP until we meet in heaven. My condolences to his family that I did not know.

Dan was my best bud in our neighborhood while we were growing up. Dan lived with his parents on Weston Rd. and I lived on Cherry Rd., in Charlotte, NY. We played together from 1954 until 1962. On August 23, 1962, Dan and I and my brother Jim, got on a train to Buffalo, NY and spent the night until the next day and then Dan and I flew to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX for Air Force Boot Camp. We stayed in the same barracks for 5 weeks and then he went to Tech school to become a Jet Engine...
