Not sure what to say?

From one terrible golfer to another. Everytime I play golf (at best twice a year), I think of you my friend and know your game is much better in heaven!

Kim, my cell phone messages were full so I had to listen and delete some yesterday. I sat and listened to each one. I am so blessed that I was able to save messages from my dad, I hope the same for you. He has been gone for over a year but yesterday he sang me happy birthday, he thanked me for making him holiday meals and he told me he loved me.

We served together as Captains at SAC HQ and conncted again while he was at NDU. We loved to break away once a week to play 9 holes of golf at Offutt AFB--by the way we were both really terrible! I always wondered why a history major was hired to work future missile systems and war plans, but he absolutely made us all better! Keep watching over us my friend

It was a struggle, but Dr COOL really helped me with his spirited style of being. He was not just a lecturer but a man who shared his spirit for what he enjoyed and believed.

I am glad this guest book will remain online permanently--keeping Dan and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Just found out Dan passed. I first met Dan at Vandenberg AFB when we were in class to become missile officers. We were both assigned to the 448th SMS ar Grand Forks, both served as instructors in DOTI, and were neighbors in the same duplex. For the first year at Grand Forks I was a single parent with 2 children one of whom was a toddler. Dan and Susan were surrogate parents and helped me in a way I can never repay. Very saddened to hear of his passing.

With remembrance of the teddy bear we knew in college and respect for a life well lived. Godspeed, Dan.

Dan profoundly touched everyone he met. I am proud to have worked with him both in the AF and at NDU. Dan, my friend, you really made a difference for your family, your friends, our Nation, and will always be in our thoughts & prayers. God Speed My Friend!
