Not sure what to say?

I have only just learned of Dr.Labby's death after reading about his wife's demise. Dr. Labby was a mentor and friend when I was a medical student and then later for 20 years when I returned to teach at OHSU. He was the "ideal" of the good physician. After he "retired" it was always a pleasure to see him at Chamber Music NW concerts and get a big smile and hug from him. My thoughts go to his children and friends. We will not see his like again.

It is with sadness that I read of Dr. Labby's death, and I extend profound sympathy to Mrs. Labby, the teacher who taught me the most about writing.

A great man with a great legacy. Dan was a mentor, a scholar, and an all around good guy. He will be missed by all who knew him.
My condolences to his family and his many, many friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Labby family at this time of sorrow. It is so gratifying to know this man contributed so much to the well being of all. A true legacy to leave to all of us.

My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Labby, my wonderful English teacher, for the loss of her husband of so many years.

I read with great admiration and respect the obituary of Daniel Labby. I was a good friend of Joan's at Wilson High School. I was often at the home of the Labby's and one summer Joan's parents even let us hold a 2 or 3 day a week playschool in their back yard. Though over the years I have lost track of Joan, I have fond memories of Joan and her family and send my heartfelt condolences for their loss.
