Not sure what to say?

My son Master Daniel: I am so proud of you,for all you accomplished in your life; One would say you had a "short life",except that you attained so many dreams that most of us only imagine doing. You were a wonderful, disciplined child, always enthusiastic, and no parent could have asked for a nicer, more helpful guy,and you excelled as a student,as verified by your teachers' constant praise of your efforts, and help to others. I am so blessed,to have been priviliged enough to say I am your...

As Paul's friend and teacher, I also grew to know Dan and he became my friend too. He was caring and thoughtful and kind and supportive. I will miss his smile, his great sense of humor and his humorous phone messages during the Red Sox/Cardinals duel. A truer test of friendship perhaps there never was, yet Paul and Dan's bond emerged unscathed; baseball fans and chess buddies, first. I am grateful for the friendship he gave to Paul. He enriched his life. He shared his gifts. We are not ready...

I'll just think of you as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. I'll think of how you must be wishing that you could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. I'll think of you as living in the hearts of those you've touched. For nothing loved is ever lost and you were loved so much. I'll always cherish the lessons and teaching I've learned from you, Sifu.

Met you many years ago and have known you as a Brother of my friend. Years went by and we became friends as well. We shared many of life's good moments. I have never met anyone who was so well disciplined, kind, joyful and always had a smile on his face. Always poised, but yet free and childlike at times to bring a smile or comfort to others. Although, I was never your formal student, I learned a great deal from you. I am forever grateful for your subtle teachings Master Dan.
Your...

My brother,Dan,you will always be in my heart. We shared many a time, good and bad, but I shall always remember your friendship and strength. Your teachings will forever guide your students and friends with the spirit and courage that you displayed throughout your lifetime. I shall miss you dearly. Kris Haines

Respect

Trying to control the future: Thinking that you know what is good or bad, what is advantageous or harmful. The Huai Nan Tzu tells a story about this:

A poor farmer's horse ran off into the country of the barbarians. All his neighbors offered their condolences but his father said, "How do you know that this is not good fortune?"

After a few months the horse returned with a barbarian horse of excellent stock. All of his neighbors offered their congratulations, but his father said,...

As fine a person as I have ever met, you led a life worth living. My Sifu and my friend. Thank you for being a part of my life. Trina and I love you and will miss you tremendously.

To have known someone who is willing to lead others in a traditional philosophy with there well being in mind and stand with a level of skill honer and discipline that only can bring respect,is hard to find, I'm proud to have known such a man who was a kung fu brother (GOD BLESS) YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMBERED AS A TRUE LEADER IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS
