Daniel K. LincolnOn Sunday, April 11, 2021, Daniel Kennedy Lincoln sauntered down the road less travelled one last time surrounded by nature following a warm sun shower. While he may have left this earth, he has gone on to hike many more mountains, fish many more streams, and paddle over many...

Not sure what to say?

I had Mr. Lincoln his final year (which I didn't know at the time) at Tomlinson for 7th grade history - and he was one of the few teachers I had until the end of middle school that really pushed me to think outside the box. I remember the red writing for the right side of the notebook very well - and somehow still remember the gigantic poster of Africa i drew for his class. I always wondered for many years where he went and what he ended up doing after. I'm glad he made an impact on multiple...

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing. Teachers are saints in all they do, but Dan Lincoln went beyond and was an educator. You could tell he relished in the moment the light came on for you. That you truly got it, You learned. I was happy to call him my friend after leaving Ludlowe. He helped start the spark that became my light. That light became my torch. I now hold up my torch to a great educator, Dan Lincoln. May you look back, Dan, and behold the sea of light you help...

I knew Mr. Lincoln as a neighbor, father of my friend Dodge, and soccer coach at Ludlowe. I wish he´d been my teacher too. A gentle, principled, nonjudgmental man - that´s how I remember him. I´m a teacher today and he was one of the great ones who pointed the way. Hi Dodge and Bartlett - so sorry for your loss.

I remember him from RLHS. I loved the outdoor classes!
Later on, my daughter was lucky enough to be a student.
She came home and told me about this teacher. I asked if his name was Mr. Lincoln. She couldn't believe I knew who he was!
He was a great teacher, and one if a kind for sure.
Honored to have known him.
Rest in peace Mr. Lincoln. You touched many lives.

As a student at Roger Ludlow high school, I was privileged to have Mr. Lincoln as my social studies teacher. During that time which was the late 60s, Mr. Lincoln taught us empathy and caring for others. He was such an all-around person that he even offered us a fencing class which I took and he taught us how to be competitive through that sport. He recognized students that were not having an easy time and with always a mentor to them. I was happy to hear that he had a nice retirement...

I got to know Dan when we ran the Tomlinson Middle School Peer Mediation Program together for several years. Dan always had interesting ways to interpret situations, and he gave our mediators the confidence they needed in order to help their peers deal with their conflicts. I always learned something new when talking with Dan. He was a brilliant and dedicated educator, a gentle and thoughtful person. I recall that Dan didn't want a party for his retirement, so since he walked to school every...

A brilliant teacher and a real influence on me. I'm particularly grateful that he taught the power of critical thinking, asking questions, and how to argue in the classical sense of the word. I was thinking of him recently, for no particular reason, and I wish I'd had the opportunity to thank him.

Mr. Lincoln was my homeroom teacher- I am sure we drove him crazy hanging out by the backdoor and inviting our friends to come hang out with us. But I can tell you we loved and respected him, because we felt he did the same back. I wish I had been in a class with him other then homeroom. His yearbook signature is infamous....never knew what it meant but it was two fighter planes fighting.
