Remembering Daniel...

As the anniversary of the passing of tour son is approaching, know my thoughts and prayers are with you. My son was 22 when he followed the same path home to God. That was 16 years ago. Things have changed. I am different. But I hurt everyday and I feel your pain!! The smaller photo looks so much like my son, I had to take a third look!

At the one year anniversary of your passing, we still grieve for you and our overwhelming loss. Dad passes the wind chime given to us by our caring neighbors, stops and listens as the light breeze brings soft music to the air, and believes it is you whispering hello. I pass by your safely placed urn, gently rub the top to greet you with a "hello, Daniel" or "we'll be back soon" or "wish you could go with us." In private, we still cry for your presence. We still miss you and always will. I am...

First and foremost, my deepest sympathy goes out to Daniel's family.
Secondly, if anyone is suffering from drug or alcohol abuse or has suicidal thoughts, I strongly encourage them to seek help.
I knew Daniel from 2004-2009. Although I would not call us friends, we were in each others lives quite frequently due to a similar social circle. I listened and learned a lot from him about who he was, his thoughts, beliefs and where he came from. Daniel was anything but a follower. He was...

I'm so very sorry.

I'm so very sorry this happened. I am one of Daniels friends from middle and high school. This was a huge shock to me. I hadn't spoken with Daniel in a couple years. Spencer Daniel Travis Jason and I were all close friends in school. Daniel was always smiling and happy then. He was a Lot of fun to be around. All of my memories of Daniel are of going to concerts together and laughing at whatever foolishness we were up to that day. My heart aches for Mr and Mrs Losey. I am so sorry for your loss.

I did not this young man nor his
family.
Thank you for sharing this hard
story
For Daniel and his family my
prayers. May he rest in peace

I am so sorry for you loss. I would like to say thank you for sharing his story. Though I didnt know him, I myself am in recovery for an addiction to pain medication. I learned of his story through my group counseling session. My counselor read his obituary and all of us. I immediately was brought back to that day that I was at our rock bottom and finally got help. We have survived and thanks to your courage, so will others. My prayers are with you and your family.

I attended middle school with Daniel. I never really fit in well with most of the other kids and often felt isolated and excluded. Daniel and his friend Jason were two of the only people that ever made me feel genuinely accepted and worthwhile. I never told Daniel how much his kindness meant to me, though it may not have seemed that significant to him, the difference it made in my life was profound. Devastated does not begin to sum up how it feels knowing that he died needing the same...
