On the anniversary of Danny´s death I miss his phone calls so much. I only saw him once or twice a year, but the pictures he would send me (especially of my parent´s grave at Waterside with the beautiful flowers he would regularly replenish) or his dog! Are deeply missed. He was a good soul. May his memory be a blessing.

I am heartbroken to hear of Danny´s passing. I will deeply miss our visits on my nearly annual visits to Marblehead, my hometown, and Danny´s many reminiscences of his youth and friendship with my father, Bob Holmes. Danny and other members of the Crew gave me my first dog, Lassie. He was one of my father´s dearest lifelong friends and continued to place flowers on my parent´s grave until earlier this year. As a friend of bill's who moved across country long ago, I have fond memories of dan from my Marblehead days some decades ago now. A great guy and a helping hand to the helpless. God speed.
