Daniel F. MACKINNON

My parents became good friends with Dan and Peggy before they had kids, and both Dan and my father Harry shared a teaching, and later a GM background. I fondly recall our families (including my two brothers) vacationing with the McKinnons "up north" in Michigan in the 1950s. Mr. McKinnon was always a 'larger than life' figure, whom I recall even after all these years as one of the most energetic, outgoing, humorous and intellectually curious persons I have known. Dan was a good man. Many years ago he helped my Mother invest her meager savings allowing her to live comfortably. We will always be grateful. Our deepest sympathy to his family at this most difficult time.

I remember Dan from his days at terry and involvement in Suffield politics … I still have one of his “works of art” made of manufactured turbine products at the Terry plant in Windsor … Rest in peace Dan.
