Dan was a very good friend as was his brother Anthony. We were neighbors on South 7th street, Newark NJ. We went to West Side High. Dan was a tremendous athlete. Not to many folks around who can run a 4:22 mile. The house he lived in was the talk of the neighborhood...when...his parents decided to have the entire house painted....Spray Painted....another first in the neighborhood for the Maltese Family. Sorry for your Loss.

VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I WENT TO 14TH AVE GRADE SCHOOL WITH DANNY AND WEST SIDE HIGH. WE MET AT OUR 50TH CLASS REUNION AND HAD A FEW LAUGHS. MY SON WENT TO WILLIAM PATERSON COLLEGE WHICH ANTHONY MALTESE WAS HEAD OF THE MEDIA DEPT. I REMEMBER A. MALTESE FRON WEST SIDE HIGH SCHOOL PLAYS. WE ONLY LIVED A BLOCK AWAY IN NEWARK. STANGE MY SON TOLD ME A FEW WEEKS AGO THAT THERE IS A DAN MALTESE CAMERA MAN WITH THE N.Y.G. I LOOK UP DAN AND WAS SO SORRY TO READ OF HIS PASSING ONLY TWO WEEKS AGO. I...

Our deepest sympathy to Janice, Dan and Jeanmarie, Donna and Vince, All of Dan's precious Grandchildren and extended Family Members. Dan was such a special soul, funny, intelligent, thoughtful,and spiritual! We had so many wonderful moments with our shared grandchildren at sporting events, birthday celebrations and holiday events.
