Not sure what to say?

Dear Pat, Tom, Winky, Jay, and all of Danny's friends:

My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Dan was one of my high school buddies and all of us in the "Corner gang" will miss his smile, dry sense of humor, good looks (he knew he was better looking than all of us), ability to party with the best of us and always ready to fix up or soup up your car.

Tom, your dad was a great man and you are right to be proud of him. Mrs. Marlar thanks for putting up with all...

Dear Pat, Winky, Jay and family,

We are so sorry for your loss. We hope that you can find peace and closure.

Love, Michelle and Chris

Dan and Don (W. Heiberg's Wedding 1982)

Mrs. Marlar,

I am so sorry to hear about Danny. He was a big part of my life for many years, and even though we had lost contact the last couple of years, he was never far from my thoughts or heart.

His attitude and the way he handled his situation was amazing. I remember the first time I went to visit Danny in the hospital after the accident. I was so nervous on the way, trying to think of things to say that would make him feel better. I didn't have to worry. Through...

Although in later years my contact with Danny was mostly through email, I have so many fond memories.
Growing up in Stratford on the Potomac. (Pat, how you put up with us in our Fort Hunt years, I'll never know!)
Unbelievable rides in that Rambler Scrambler! ("Did you file a flight plan for this flight?!?!")
Racing the Hobie 33 with Dan, Jay, Winky, Steve Schroer, and on occasion, Walt Heiberg.
My wife, Kathy, relates that the worst tantrum that my son James, then 3...

Please let me start by thanking everyone who has already taken the time to sign this guestbook. It means a lot to me and certainly would mean a lot to my father.

My Dad was an amazing man. In the guest book entry by my grandmother, she said his last words to her were "Mom, your my hero".

Well, Dad, YOU are MY hero.

You showed me that nothing is impossible. You overcame countless hurdles, time after time. You also showed me how to be a great father. No...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Danny's family. I only knew Danny a couple of years and that was a long time ago...he was a great guy to hang out with...

Dan was a good friend to many of us Fort Hunt-ers and will be missed by all. He did many favors for me and others (usually reluctant car repairs) but he would never turn-down a friend in need, no matter what. He was such a fixture in the area - everyone knew him - that it is hard to believe that he will never be with us again...except in spirit.

I admired Dan for going through difficult times with a keen sense of humor and I will miss his one-of-a-kind personality and unique view...
