Dan McBride was, possibly, the nicest man I ever knew. We spent quite some time together while attending Duquesne. He was a friend to everyone who knew him...so sorry he is gone.

Dan was a long time member of the Aero Club of Pittsburgh. I think he might have been our only B-52 pilot. Always a congenial person, I enjoyed seeing him at our luncheon and dinner meetings.
My sympathy to Dan family on the loss of this fine gentleman.

So very sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Dan and I were at Duquesne Uiversity together, the '64 class of Journalism. Then our lives separated and we went off into different careers. I remember Dan when we were together in St. Anselmn's Elementary School. He was a gentleman then and I am not surprised reading his obituary of the life he lived. My condolences to each of his children and his wife. May he Rest In Peace.Eileen Kelly

I'm so sorry for the family's loss. I hadn't seen Dan in many years but last year he called me and we talked about family and the Potts sisters and Braddock. And laughed. I remember when Teresa, Jack, Dan and Jackie would stay with us in the Bronx in the 1950s (how was it possible that the McBrides and the O'Reillys could all fit into our one-bedroom apartment obviously simpler times). I remember Dan was suddenly the big kid on our block and could intimidate the local bullies. And I would...

Throughout his lifetime, Dan fought the good fight; although he left us too soon, he finished life's race; and he kept the faith. For those of us he left behind who are still plodding through our earthly journeys, he remains an inspiration and will forever occupy a special place in our hearts.
