Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the family of George and Doris Gardiner I offer our condolences on the death of Daniel (Barney). I met him for the first time last year at George's funeral in Waihi. He was the groomsman at George and Doris' wedding and it was good for him to come down to the funeral. Unfortunately I did not have time to talk much with him particularly over our shared interest in cycling.

Dear Faye, Michelle, Cody and family, we send you our deepest sympathy. It was a pleasure to have met Barney and he will always be remembered in our travling stories.

Dear Faye, Michelle, Cody and family, we are thinking of you from afar and send you our deepest sympathy. It was a pleasure to have met Barney. Take comfort in the memories you made. God Bless.

To Faye and Family Deepest Sympathy on your sad loss of Barney, such a tragedy doing a sport he loved so much. So many great memories of when Barney came down to the South Island for races and when we all met up for races in the North Island. Thinking of you all RIP Barney Brian Roulston and Family (Ashburton]

A great guy and cyclist. Known him for 70 odd years. From Waihi, and a real mate of old Doug. Won the Round the Mountain race as youngster, and helped us win round Taupo. RIP Barney. Doug Kingsford
