Not sure what to say?

I went on this site about former major league players for the first time today. It's the first time I had learned about Danny passing. I was a year ahead of him at St. Cecillia's but then went to Prep. I can't remember exactly where he grew up but 38th and California sticks in my mind. I want to extend my condolences to his wife and family.

Dan McGinn and I were classmates in kindergarten through High School at St Cecilia's and Cathedral High School. We were also teammates and close friends for 74 years. We had a lot of adventures during those years. He is greatly missed by all who knew him, because he leaves a void in our lives. He battled cancer with grace and class and that is how he lived his life as a great Catholic. You have earned your heavenly reward. God be with you, my brother. Dave Harrington

Rhea- You Dan and I were supposed to meet in NYC, many years ago. For some reason we never were able to get together. For years before the new internet capabilities, I searched for Dan, just to give him a call. He was a complete gentleman, we worked together at AT&T, I was in New York, and we worked on the UPS account. Only today I thought of Dan, again, and found the info on his passing. I am truly sorry for your loss, and my most sincere love and wishes for you and your family during...

Rhea, I regret not asking about Dan during your recent visits to Walmart. My condolences to you and your family. I didn´t realize he had passed away on March 1 until reading the article in today´s paper. Wow! He really had a storied sports career. Ben Jacobitz (WM)

I am Dan's roommate and teammate from Notre Dame. I'm a Canadian and live many miles from Omaha on an island off the West Coast of Canada. I just found out that Dan has walked on. We were close friends for our entire tenure at Notre Dame. He will forever remain in my prayers. I send heartfelt condolences to Rhea and the boys. Mike Webster #79 Defensive Tackle University of Notre Dame

Rhea, we were saddened to hear of Dan´s passing. May you & your sons be comforted by loving memories.

I played baseball with Dan in grade school (Herold´s Clubbers) and football with him at CHS. A great guy, athlete, and leader. My condolences to his family and his many friends.
