Having a tough day remembering Daniel. I´ve never been more proud than when he returned from training with his "pizza box" medal for rifle marksmanship. Even now 16 years later, I´m still just as proud

Today I shared a story of Dan that meant a lot to me as a teen. We did theatre together in High School and he tried to help me through some very dark times. I think about him a lot. I'll never forget you, Dan.

I traveled to Washington DC for the weekend of 11.11.11 to visit my daughter and tour the local sites. Upon entering the main Visitor Center at Arlington National Cemetery I recognized a familiar face on the quilt displayed in the center of the main lobby..It was Daniel McGuire from Mashpee, front and center underneath the Massachusetts insignia.
