Daniel T. McKissick

On May 25 2007 my world changed. I lost my brother. There are only so many words one can say...though a million are racing through my mind.

Mom.. I am so sorry that you have had to endure the pain of losing a child. I know how hard it was for me to lose Danny, and he was my brother. I look at my children and could not imagine losing either of them. You worked so hard raising us into adults... extra hard with Danny. You never failed either of us. I know it, and Danny knew it as well....

Danny was a close friend of mine. After meeting him you quickly realize that God only made a select few people with qualities like the ones he had. If you had the priviledge of being a friend of Danny's you know exactly what I'm talking about. I will definitely miss him and I hope his family can push through this.

I was told by a fellow nurse about the recent death of a transporter who worked with us. When I successfully found his obituary I discovered he was your brother. I am so sorry for your, your children's and the rest of your wonderful family's loss. I had no idea how small this world could be. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. My only memory of Danny, was of a darling little 2 year old with bright blue eyes. It has been many years, but, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all of his family and friends. And with special thoughts to our dear friend, Tucker, we mourn with you. May the good Lord bless and keep you.

Dear Katie, I hope you get this message and that you remember me from CAPC...I will always remember you. When I saw the McKissick name in last Sunday's paper and the young age, my stomach sank and I hoped not to read your name as having lost someone so close and so young. My heart has been heavy for you and your family all week. May you find comfort in the arms of our heavenly Father and the precious memories of your brother.
