Not sure what to say?

I had the good fortune of beginning my career with Dan as my boss at the Manhattan D.A.'s Office. His wisdom, guidance, and friendship will never be forgotten by me or anyone that had the priviledge of working with him.

Dan was a remarkable man, whose wisdom was shared with countless Manhattan juries by young lawyers who had the good fortune of being the recipients of his sage advice. He left an idelible mark on the New York County District Attorney's Office.

In law school, they lecture about precedent and statutes. Dan taught you how to actually be a laywer. What set Dan apart was that rare combination of exceptional intelligence, wit and common sense. And above all was Dan's selflessness --...

Thank you so much for everything, Dan. You are already sorely missed, but will be remembered and rightly celebrated forever.

I was among Dan's roommates at Harvard. Dan possessed one of the best minds and quickest wits of anyone I have ever known. He was a true friend, and we remained in touch over the years. I was able to attend the wake and funeral service for Dan and express in person my condolences to Mary Ellen, Maureen and Michael and the rest of Dan's wonderful and caring family, friends and colleagues. What an honor to be among this group who gathered together to celebrate Dan's life, as well as swap...

We were undergrad classmates at Harvard, and I admired Dan's sense of humor and energy. I saw him again at several reunions, and admired his commitment to doing the right thing in a tough place. I regret that I won't see him at the 40th. To his family, my condolences and my deepest sympathies.

I was a colleague of Dan's in his early days of private practice, as well as a neighbor in Brooklyn, although ourt paths crossed only infrequently. My deepest symnpathies and condolences to his family.

Dan was one of my brightest students at Xavier High School, Concord, MA in its founding days. He studied hard, played hard, and really enjoyed being among this elite group of students in the early '60s. I can still sees his face earnestly wanting to learn in Xavier's classrooms. Intimations of Dan's future success as a District Attorney in Manhattan were evident at Xavier.

Above all, Dan loved and lived the Jesuit ideals: Dan was truly an Ignatian Man for Others. Because of...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dan was a great mentor to many prosecutors in the Manhattan DA's Office and will be deeply missed.
