Not sure what to say?

I did not know Daniel long but I had many emails and one video call with him in 2019 as we shared Auxiliary ATON knowledge and worked together building an interface between my AV Assistant app and his Google Earth/SAR software. We had some laughs over the fact that I couldn’t hear and he couldn’t see. I miss him already, and my heart goes out to his wife and family.

Dan was a valued member of the USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 10-06 for many years. He will be missed. Dan worked with me on several Auxiliary matters and he was always open, honest, reliable, and forthright in any communications we had. He always displayed his professionalism and knowledge in anything he did. He tackled projects both small and large with the same energy never giving up until a consensus was obtained. He was "Semper Paratus".

I extend my sincere condolences and prayers to Shipmate Meigs Family and Friends. I pray your strength in the Word of the Lord and hold steadfast on Your Faith.

Dan was the kindest, nicest, most gentlemanly Auxiliarist I ever met. I only wish i had been able to spend more time with him in recent years.

Worked with Dan in the USCG Auxiliary. He was dedicated to his task and a pleasure to be with. A man of outstanding character and had a great concern for others. Will very much miss riding with him and sharing his wisdom. His knowledge will be missed by many. Condolences to his family in this trying time.

My name is Bill Ottendorfer and I worked for the Navy Training Command in Pensacola Florida. I am sure this is the Dan Meigs I worked with back in 1975-1978 when he was working at Wright-Patterson AFB. His personality as described was the same then as now.
Here is what’s most interesting. I was sitting in my den this morning and for some reason decided to do a Google search on Daniel Meigs. Someone I rarely thought about in the last 45 years. When I found out that he passed away last...

Dan Meigs was such an awesome cousin. As a child he always loved spending time in the summer with our family on the farm and was very intrigued with all the happenings there. Dan was funny, thoughtful, friendly, outgoing, oh so smart and a humble man. He will truly be missed by all of us.

Dan was a kind man. He was always willing to help me at CGAUX meetings.
