Dan...It was only a short time, but it was great getting to know you, but then God took you away when he called you home cause he saw that you were getting tired. My thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones you left behind and I will be there for them whenever they call...

Dear Dad, I wanted people who read this to know what a great Dad i have..I know you are in a better place now pain free and it helps ease my pain of your loss..We all use to say you were gonna out live us "you hateful thing'lol and now im here writing you a letter in heaven..Dad you've only been gone a few days and i miss you...what i wouldnt give to have you ask me for a foot rub or the achy feeling i get in my belly when im getting ready to ask you for money....knowing your reply will be...

Danny,
It is hard to write a poem for a person's life. because each of us have a different piece from his life. We all together make up Danny's story! And maybe we are better people having known him!He has taught me so much in life and even in his death.I have learned that God can call you home in a moments notice. So today I want to live each day like it was the last and to see the beauty in this world like it's the first time seeing it! I am going to hold my loved ones a little tighter...

Dad,
You will be forever missed and forever in my heart.Never forget I will Always be DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL.
Though every day will be hard I know you will make me strong.Until we meet on the other side.....
I Love You Dad.

Dad,
Knowing you are in a better place and not in pain helps me know eventually we all will make it through the days to come.Rest asure we will take care of mom.I know when my boys start asking questions about their papaw you'll help me find the strength and words to answer them.Always and Forever in my heart.... I love You and dont forget I will always be DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL.
Love,

My sincerest condolences to the Mendenhall family. My family may have moved away from Peoria 17 years ago, but that doesn't mean my memories have faded. I will always remember your family and Danny and his garage. What wonderful woodwork. God Bless, Kim Riddle- Savage:)

I didn't know you as well as I liked here on earth, but thankfull that I will have the opportunity to in Heaven.

My heart and condolences go out to the Mendenhall family. My parents and Kim also pass along their thoughts and prayers as well. As next door neighbors, I sit here and reflect on memories of my childhood and Danny. And the one thing that keeps coming back is that garage in the back yard where he did all his woodwork. Amazing work, but if you were anywere near his equipment, you were toast. Godspeed.
