Not sure what to say?

Dan Sr. is no doubt proud and happy to know the legacy he has left behind in the Monckton family. I feel blessed that the Carr clan has been lucky enough to be close friends with every generation of the (Glenview) Monckton clan. I can't say enough on how much we have enjoyed the comradery, the competition in various sports, the get togethers and most importantly the friendship. I can't think of a more devoted family friendship than the one with the Monckton family. Dan Sr and Hank...

Coach Monckton played a big role in our young lives at both Sacred Heart and Old Willow. Of the children, I only knew Danny well, since I didn´t spend much time on the North Shore after high school, but my heart goes out to all of you. Your Dad was a good man. He had high integrity and wanted us to excel. God bless him and all of you. Jim Hackett (Houston, Tx)

Loved Coach! Especially when he took us to the park for gym class! May Coach Rest In Peace Class of `68 Alice Freeman

The Brooks Family send their condolences to the Monchton family. They have been great friends over the years.

So sorry, thoughts & prayers for you all

My deepest sympathies to the entire Monckton clan on Dan´s passing. He was a very formative figure in my life and I´m a better person due to my time spent with Coach. I´ve thought of him often over the years and was recently telling some friends about the many life lessons learned from him. I´m sorry I won´t be there in your time of loss, but please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

He coached me in basketball and football at Sacred Heart in the late 70´s / early 80´s. He was tough but fair and expected nothing less than our best effort even if it fell short at times. Even though he was hard on me at times, I really appreciated Coach Monkton as a coach and a person. He was an inspiration to me and I am so sorry for your loss. I am not alone in my fondness for him and the standards that he expected of me. Your father or grandfather was a very special person and made...
