Not sure what to say?

Sad i just found out about this and missed the service. Dan was funny as hell, a fabulous youth coach. I remember great times with Tom and Katie at thier house. I ended up coaching kids for decades and drew upon some of his direct quotes to lighten things up and always drew upon the inspiration he instilled in all who knew him

I remember Mr.Montag fondly. He was a fixture at baseball games following Tom´s various teams. As I envision Del Monte´s team playing at Barnes Elementary it makes me smile . What a great life Dan led. RIP

All honor to his name.

Dan - Was a great friend and neighbor to my parents. From Trixie eating their grapes to the kindness he showed my dad after his stroke. They really cherished his freindship.

Dan was one of a kind. He was so honest, exceptionally kind and genuine. My mom used to tell me the story of Dan coming to visit, dressed as Santa, to cheer me up when I was very small and very sick at Christmas time. I feel lucky to have had him in our lives for such a long time yet still gone too soon. Rest easy, Dan. You will be deeply missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan and dick when I first started Tri-County furnace in 84 they gave me the opportunity to work for their company as a contractor, doing oul furnace repair until they sold to Albina fuel. What a character.

Condolences ,Dan was a great friend.
