Dear Barbara, Dan, Kerry Grace, and Michael -- I was deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing, your husband and father. I received the sad news from Deanna a couple of days ago. As I am rather close in distance to the Morrissey's residence, I would certainly have made an effort to get to the funeral home and funeral Mass for Dan, had I known. To Barbara and family: I am very saddened to learn of Dan's passing. My sincerest condolences to you all. Dan was a special person in my life, as friend, work colleague, neighbor, Red Sox sufferor, music lover, and of course carpool buddy for over a quarter of a century. I estimate that we drove together over 120,000 miles! I enjoyed immensely his intelligence, wit, humility, advice, caring, but most of all his friendship. He will be greatly missed. May his memory be a blessing.
