My heartfelt condolences to your family. Mr. Mutch was a history teacher of mine at Tokay High School. He had a way of bringing the subject to life, especially the personal account of his wife's family during WWII. Although I graduated in 1977, I still remember his warm, relaxed approach to teaching and hold his ways in high regard. He made that big of impression on me. Can I say he was my favorite? He was. I pray the Lord wrap His loving arms around you, his family, during your loss.

He taught us to speed read or speed scan which I still employ today when reading the newspaper. He taught us how to debate. Looking back Mr. Mutch was a natural...

Dan will be missed by all who knew him. He was a great teacher. Education lost a good when he became a very successful State Farm agent. Dan's drive and intensity brought success. Many tennis matches were lost by those of us who stepped on the court thinking we could beat him. He was very competitive. He loved to fish. Time spent on the Mokelumne R. and Lake Camanche were precious. Family and friends were lucky to have him in their life. Thank you Dan for your guidance and...

Mr. Mutch was my favorite high school teacher! He made history so inspiring I took his night school history class as well. I always meant to tell him of the life-time love of history he inspired. I always remember how he contributed to my life. I still live history.
