After hearing about the plane accident on the news and in the Register, I was shocked to hear that Dan was on the plane when I read his obituary on Friday. I remember him from Estancia, and that he was a super nice guy. I called my friend Gayle to let her know of the news, and she said he took her to the prom on the Queen Mary, and brought her down to the DMV for her driving test. So many memories of a true friend - my BEST friend in high school and after - come back to me upon hearing the tragic news...miles and years may have separated us, but the fond recollections of our youth in a far different Costa Mesa will never disappear. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Rest easy, Danny.
