Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure to meet Daniel and his family more than twenty years ago. I was visiting Pittsburgh, and my friend Brian Ng, Daniel's brother, introduced me and I was invited to dinner. I remember that evening with him and Lilly and the girls with great pleasure.

In the years since then, I've been continuing to hear about the travels, accomplishments, and life of Daniel and family through Brian, and Daniel has always been part of our everyday conversations.

...

It's been a privilege to have known Daniel as a classmate and friend.

Dear Dan,

Although we had just a brief encounter when you last visited Australia, I was deeply impressed by your kindness, generosity and intellectual attributes. I was also
touched by your sparing the time to write to my daughter Roshelle a few years ago on the net, giving her lots of encouragement and teaching her many things. You were indeed a great scholar, a wonderful teacher and a staunch friend. Your sudden passing has saddened us a lot but we believe your spirit...

It's a funny thing, life. Nobody can ever really understand it. The way someone can be there one moment and gone the next in the blink of an eye. Then the rest of us are left to cry, cry for the good times and the bad, hoping that our tears can bring back the ones we've lost.
It's funny how one person can arouse so many tears against their will. Where did all the smiles and laughter go?
Dan was a man of smiles. A man who embraced the world around him and followed his natural...

Lily:

I found it unbelievable that Dan died. He once said that he would not let anything die on him. He could revive anything, from antique organ, dinosaur age computer to a house. Why would he die on himself?

I want you to know that I am proud to have Dan as my classmate and my friend, the foundation of our memorable high school reunions. I truly treasure the moments he visited Toronto and the moments Kirk and I stayed over in Shaker Heights. It was a pity that...

Dear Dan,

I do miss you terribly. Thank you for being so good to me during the past 7 years. You shall always occupy a special place in my heart.

Caroline

There's nothing to describe the sudden loss of Daniel whose 47-year friendship, wisdom, knowledge and informativeness have touched our heart deeply.

Dan,
I am going to miss your witty, and original Chinese character explanations. I remember you told me you are going to compile a book about your new findings about Chinese characters. How can you pass away so sudden. I remember those days that we chatted for hours about the origins of Chinese, Taiwanese, and Cantonese language.
I believe we will meet again in our next lifes because we have so much in common and "Yuan".

Dr. Lily Ng and family,

So deeply sorry for your loss. I
know that no words can express the
sadness you must feel.
