Not sure what to say?

Dear CeCe and family,

Charlie and I just learned yesterday of Bucky's passing away suddenly. My mother told me. We are so sorry. To have lost your brother Greg (what seems like) only a short while ago and now your husband Bucky...I can only imagine the depth of sadness you feel. Our hearts go out to you. Your kind and generous spirit has always inspired me ever since we were both young and growing up in the same neighborhood. Bucky was very fortunate to have had you in his life....

Dear CeCe~
I feel sadly blessed that I was able to be with you and Dan to kayak on Long Island that last day of his life. I got to see the joy and peace Dan derived from being on the sea at his beloved island home. "Poetry in motion" was how you described him that day. As I paddled behind you, I thought how happy and cute you looked together, doing what you loved to do, where you loved best. Thank you Dan, for teaching me the correct way to paddle and CeCe, for your friendship and...

CeCe and family,

My thoughts and deepest sympathy accompanies these words. I worked with Dan for over 13 years at MacPage. I always marveled at his energy and passion, while discussing ANY subject. Whether in my office, his office, the lunchroom, the hallway or anywhere in between, you could always count on a loud and animated discussion, no matter the topic. I am just realizing that this is his gift to me - to try to introduce more passion into my life. Take comfort in the...

Cece and family,

My deepest condolences on your tragic loss. Dan was the greatest of friends who gave more in his short time on earth than most people do in several lifetimes. If there is anything I can do, I am ready to help, as I know he would have helped me. I will truly miss his company.

Peace to all of you.

Lauren

CeCe and family,
Sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you and your family. Even though we have not seen you in many years, I remember Bucky with always a great smile. May God bless you all.

It is hard to know exactly what to say when a friend passes long before we are prepared to let him go. I skated with Bucky on the Sharks and smiled every time he entered the lockerroom. His love for the game was infectious and his respect for his teammates obvious (even you, Jere!). I still remember the first time he skated on my line. I apologized for putting a pass behind him and he looked me in the eye and said "That's fine...you're just not used to my blazing speed."

I am...

CECE
MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOUR FAMILY.YOU WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

MARGARET (COYNE)WILKES

To all the family members, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you during this time of deep and very personal sadness. I met Bucky in 1986 when I joined the Sharks hockey team. Over the next 7 or 8 years that I played, Bucky was a constant … never missed a game and always went out for a beer afterwards. You could always depend on him. I’ve heard many other stories over the years of his kayaking, Giants games, pizza business, and family and they all showed his commitment and dedication. He...
