Not sure what to say?

I knew Dan at Marsh & McClennan. I always listen for his name at the Memorial reading of names. I was a contractor doing business at M&M. Dan was working in the training area of IT. Once & took a him and another M&M employee out to lunch. Dan was so nice and kind of quiet compared to the other employee. I remember talking about where he lived. He had a fairly long commute every day from NJ. He said that he did it for his family. He wanted them to live in a nice area so it was worth it for...

Melissa, I am Dan´s sister and I just wanted you and all the friends that still keep Dan in your hearts that the family appreciates it. We think of him everyday! We miss him terribly.

Dan, my children, Peter and Erica, used to play with JD when we lived in Hopatcong. We were all broken up when you didn't come home after the towers came down. Every year, we listen for your name to be said on 9/11. Today is the first time I could bring myself to visit the Memorial and 9/11 Museum. I brought my son's little boy and showed him your photo and we listened to your audio remembrance as it played for all visitors to hear. My family and I will never forget you!

I am Joe Harrington´s sister, they were your neighbors on White Swan Way. I met you both and Dan is the only victim I know. It just so happens that my son´s middle name is Nolan. I have never forgotten your family, even 20 years later. Joe and Mary were devastated upon learning the tragic news. I still repeat his name, he is not forgotten ever.

Hi Dan, This is the first year that I posted a picture of the NYC 9/11 memorial and not of the towers prior. That surprised me and perhaps was another step towards healing. My parents anniversary is 9/11. While we celebrated 64 years of marriage with them, this year, we reminisced about you and that fateful day. Even through the pain the smiles abound. How can one not smile thinking of Dan!? Love you, friend

Dan, I always remember you. You were kind and helpful and supportive to all your colleagues. You lifted up everyone around you. I was so glad to be part of your team. Your light still shines and warms us with the memory of your smile and your great big heart. Shine on!

I still miss you, Dan. Thank you for your friendship and support. Thanks for all hillarious fun and great times. Every year I re-live how I felt when your sister called me to let me know you were gone. George and I cried together though we had already split. You will never be forgotten! I still get a little hitch in my throat when I come across the pictures of JD and Madeleine together as babies, and I'm so glad I got to share your wedding day with you and Renee.

I hope...

Miss you every day. We will never forget. Love you for eternity.

Thinking of you again, and often, as we mark 16 years since losing you. Miss your great Irish smile and your larger-than-life personality! Watch over us
