Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear the news of Father O's passing. My family moved away from the neighborhood of OLH when I was in 3rd grade, but my mom was still a part of the Women's group, which I tagged along a couple of times with her. He would stop by for coffee and conversation. He was a good soul and will be sorely missed. May God bless his family, friends and those that have fond memories of him in this difficult time.

I met Father O'Sullivan at church on Sunday many years ago. I am from Kansas City, Missouri and a group of us attend one Notre Dame football game a year. We stay at Olymply Fields CC. We usually go to church before we return home on Sunday. I graduated from St. Irenaeus in 1956.
I was very sorry to hear of his death. I had just sent a contribution to the church and he had someone from the parish call me before he died.

Neil I was so sorry to hear of you borther's death. Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers. God bless you all.

Father "O' " brought the meaning of faith and the word of God to so many of us. May he rest in peace.

Father O'Sullivan was a great comfort to me when my brother Steve died and I will sorely miss him. He was an inspiration to me on many occasions. I will always remember his joyous energy at midnight mass.
Goodbye Father
May God hold you in the palm of his hand!

Dear Jerry and Neil,
I just heard today of Dan's passing from my sister Helen and we talked for an hour recalling all the great times with Father O. He shared so much with us, from vacations to laughter and even tears. He even taught Helen's daugher Anne to drive, no easy feat I might say. The last time we talked I was sure he was beating this and he was so upbeat as usual. I shall never forget him and am so glad he shared so many fun times with us. My love to all your family. He was...

Dear O'Sullivan family - Dan Joe was a childhood friend of mine and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I will miss Fr. O'Sullivan dearly. I feel as though there is a hole in my heart from his loss. We all got to know him so well through all his stories. He was a beautiful, loving, accepting person who enjoyed life and truly knew how to live a Christ - like life. He was an inspiration and model to all of us. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving also and I love the fall colors, but I am mostly a Cubs fan. I send my condolences to his beautiful family he shared with us throughout the years...
