I remember the day I met Dan and Chuck. I was about 9 and they were about 6. I was walking home from church up Silliman Street and I saw Dan and Chuck playing marbles by the convent. I stopped to watch and they invited me to play. I ran home and got my marbles and returned and played with them. That began a friendship that has lasted a lifetime. I worked with Dan at the Maple Ave Big Bear. What a great person to have called a friend and colleague. He will be sadly missed!!

To the Pickrell family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God comfort you and give you peace at this difficult time. I went to school with Dan at St. Nicholas and at Rosecrans. I remember the good times we had playing basket ball for the St. Nicholas Fiyers.
