Daniel was always a breath of fresh air who instantly brightened the darkest room and brought so much joy to this world. My mood still lifts when remembering his infectious laughter and joyful personality. I am very grateful and proud to have been his friend. His is truly missed...

I met Daniel, aka Brown Bear, two stepping in Portland. We would dance in circles for hours in his living room or my kitchen late into the night laughing and being silly. It was sad when we fell out of touch. He was always so goofy, kind, and thoughtful. You are missed Brown Bear. Turn left for your next adventure.

I met Daniel over ten years ago, and we dated for the first several years. We were friends ever after, and I saw him a week before he passed. I will treasure that last hug always. He was one of the most kind, loving people you could ever hope to know, and the world is a little less joyful without him. I love you, Dandelion, and will never forget you. <3

Dear ~Christine Weber-Kearney, PORTLAND OR: I just wanted to say that was very "well-stated". There is a pattern here in all of the comments for Dan. He was a tremendous guy, so undeserving of an early & untimely passing.

Every time I saw Daniel, his face would look joyful. He rang a few times in our bell choir. I loved having him: good musician and contented person.

I worked with Daniel at Multnomah County in Portland. Whenever I was around him an instant smile came to me! He just had such a way about him that brought out the best in me and everyone around him. I miss you Daniel. Rest in peace my friend.

Daniel was my mentor as I went life coach training. I remember how kind was always, joyful, gentle and committed to helping and serving others. I will miss him dearly.

I was privileged to be friends with Dan for about 9 years, until we lost contact with each other. Everyone else's comments here are spot on - he was gentle, kind, generous, & hilarious. We had so many good times together as teenagers & 20 somethings. I regret losing contact with him over the years, but I will miss him. I wish his sweet mom, Letty, his wonderful sister, Gillian, & his whole family the very best. I hope that your Christmas can still be bright.

I enjoyed singing with Daniel in the Blueprint Arts Wednesday night group. I miss his gentle way. Taken too soon.
