Not sure what to say?

Dan was my neighbor in Pittsburgh. He was actually one of the first persons I met when I was roaming the street after deciding to make an offer on a house a few doors up from his. But as years wore on, I grew to know him- he was a smart, hard working, astute observer of humanity. And he raised a couple of lovely girls along with his wife,Holly. I know how devastating this kind of a loss is. But I am so happy that I knew him...

Dear Shannon, I'm so sorry for your loss and your family's loss. Your Dad was a remarkable man and he positively influenced so many people. I remember meeting him two times. Once at the bike shop where he told stories of his cycling days where he was so full of life. And second, in Sewickley when you were launching your business. He was so happy and proud of you! Sending you and your family strength and love.

I was shocked to learn that Dan passed away last November. I appreciated Dan's friendship with my father Bob Carpenter. I have had my share of problems and Dan always reached out with an offer to help me.

Kind hearted, selfless, and a friend to all. He put his whole heart in everything he did, I am grateful for the time I shared with him. He will surely be missed, Rest Peacefully Dan.

Dan was a great guy, always full of positive energy. I saw him at the Veteran's Day Breakfast on November 11 and he looked like his old self. I am shocked and sadden by his passing. He will truly be missed.

Dan's contributions to the Veterans' community both in Western Pennsylvania and reaching across the country is immeasurable. Having served with him on the board of the Veterans Leadership Program, and assisting in Semper Fi Odyessy, I admired his passion and leadership in accomplishing tasks and "getting things done". He was a good man! May he rest in peace.

Holly, Shannon and Alli. I am heart broken to read this. Dan was such an influence in my life and an important part of it. My heart and prayers are with you and Dan. He had the largest caring heart that I ever knew. . His VAULT project was a statement he taught us all that worked with him. I will keep and eye open and be at his memorial

My condolences to Holly, Shannon and Allison. I grew up with Dan in Greensburg and knew his wonderful family. I,too, was a Marine officer who fought in Vietnam and respect his bravery and leadership. Semper Fi, Dan.

I enjoyed working with you at Five Star Development. I was touched by your support at my grandfather´s funeral.
