Coach Ramer instilled the love of Archery in me that I have to this very day. I also worked closely with him when I was the Student Intramural Activities Director at MJC, 1973-74. Living in St. Petersburg, I hadn't heard of his death until today when I glanced at an archery trophy I won at MJC and looked him up. My sympathy and condolences to all.

With our deepest sympathy. Danny Ramer was my uncle and he and my dad Ralph J. Ramer were brothers who enjoyed hunting and fishing together. I spent time with my Uncle Danny when he visited Virginia to see my dad. He was a great uncle and I loved him very much. Robyn Ramer Thiele

I will always remember the day we went hunting along the Rappahanock and thru the woods back in Dec '53? '54? Didn't see any deer but it was a lovely (and cold) day anyway, spent with my sister Pat, and your brothers, George and Buddy. So sorry you are gone. Joe and I will pray for you. R.I.P. until we meet again.

Your coach through life was a gentleman who had much to share....
My enjoyment of your father was through an archery class back in 1968. Coach Ramer is a walking tall man's man with the smiling grin full of knowledge...
The world is a better place when a person of your father's strength and ability has had that chance encounter through a class, a talk... As Coach Ramer walked, taught and gave of himself, a legacy was made and will never be forgotten...
