Hello Tom, You may not remember me as it has been so many years. I remember you and your parents at such a younger age when we were growing up at St Ben's. I heard fom my mom today about the loss of your parents and I am sure that it is so sad for you and your family. A love like theirs, and to pass together, is such a beautiful thing! Before Dan's retirement from the Seattle School District I worked with him there. He was always so positive, so insistent on helping students, and a real professional. With his great sense of humor and practical approach to issues --even during the complicated times of the District's busing program-- he was such a wonderful colleague. My deepest sympathies to the family for your loss.

I can truly say Dan Riley was agreat person ....he not only was a teacher but a good friend...I was saddened to hear about Rose and Dan's passing...I have never met Rose...I am a former student from Port Townsend High School
