When I heard of your death it really shook me to the bone. To this day I'm still having trouble dealing with it so I can imagine how the rest of the family feels. I was always proud to call you my Uncle Dan and you will be missed. Hope to see you again some day along with Aunt Donna and Rick. Rob would of made you proud at your memorial service. Tim

In my 4 years at West Linn H.S. I never
heard anyone say a bad thing about DR.
Being in the position of Vice Principle
and giving out the the daily discipline
tends to make some people resent them,
but not our hearts with DR,because if
you got call to DR'S office, you new the reason and consequences. He would
also understand that teenagers make mistakes and that those mistakes can be
used as a learning tool in life and that there is a chance to change,...

Even though you were my father-in-law I still called you "Mr. Rollins". The respect from high school is forever there. I am proud to be the mother of your two oldest granddaughters Nicole and Brandy, and grandmother to their children who will carry on the Rollins Legacy.

Coach Rollins was the best. I spoke to him for the last time at the Football reunion, and said " you are my second father ". Thanks Coach.

coach Rolins was my driver ed teacher,i was always afraid to cross bridges so when it came to crossing the oc/west linn bridge i would always gun it,one day on my paper he wrote HELP! and just laughed so loud,i shall never cross that bridge without thinking of him.

WOW!! What a wonderful, uplifting memorial service for a wonderful Gentle Giant, I didn't go to school in West Linn, (will not say where) hee hee, I knew Donna, Dan and that wonderful family as neighbors to my husband's parents, Donna actually helped me make my wedding gown and was a great help to me when I was learning parenthood, Randy did a good job keeping our wedding rings ready on our wedding day, lots of fond memories lie in our hearts, thank you "kids" for a lovely "Happy Day" on this...

I will always hold a spot in my heart for Coach Rollins, my Drivers Ed teacher, who always gave from his heart. WLHS 1969

"Happy Day" is how Mr. Rollins would greet you as you walked the halls at WLHS. He had a contageous smile and a wonderful heart. He would allow a few of us friends to leave campus (often) as long as we returned with a peace offering (usually a donut). He saw the good in every kid at the school and was an amazing encourager. Thank you for making my four years at WLHS a wonderful time.
