Not sure what to say?

"Dad" Ross was a wonderfull man and will be terribly missed.

We are so very sorry for your loss.

Susan and Jane,

You are in my thoughts along with the rest of your family. I know how hard it is to lose a precious parent.

Dan was an administrator when I came to Mt. Morris in 1978. The strength of his personality and extremely good humor is what I remember about him.

My heartfelt sympathy also to Rick Forshee, Tom Riutta, and Vos. I know Dan was your special friend for a very long time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have very special memories of Dan and your family.

We at Signature Real Estate Ltd have had the pleasure of working with Dan for the past 10 years. He was not only a Realtor but a good friend to all of us here. We will miss him greatly.

I had Mr. Ross at Mt Morris as the assist. principle in High Sch. I remember him as a very nice guy who dealt with you with respect which was not always easy when dealing with students . He had to expell me for a day for sticking pencils in the ceiling of the library. As I sat waiting in his office I was a little bit anxious because he was a bit intimidating (big man). When I left his office however I felt as though my own father had scolded me. It was a good learning experiance for me and I...

To the family and friends of Dan,

Dan was my second personnel director in Swartz Creek. We spent lots of time exchanging letters during pre-email days. I have an abundance of letters from him challenging various issues such as pay raises related to completion of classwork, ungranted transfer requests, etc. Later, it occurred to me that occasionally, he challenged me simply because he looked forward to my poison pen letters!

He played the tough guy role as a personnel...

Hello Jane and Susan:

I recently ran into a former student of your Fathers'. He was from the days at Merrill Elementary in Flint. His admiration and respect of your Father and how he had impacted his life were immense. I too met your Father when I was a young man and he too impacted on me. To have known him and to be able to call him a friend I find a privilege. If I can be of any help to you please do not hesitate to ask.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mr. Ross. Mr. Ross was the assistant principal at Mt. Morris High School in the early 70's while I was in school there. I was once accused of stealing some money from a bus driver's wallet at a baseball game. I was called to Mr. Ross' office where I said I didn't do it, which I hadn't. Mr. Ross knew I didn't do it and said that he would back me up with his paycheck. End of story, nothing more was ever said about the incident. I haven't forgotten...

To the Ross family:

Dan was my high school Vice Principal when I was a student at Mt. Morris. He was a no nonsense educator and very bright man. Lord knows I must have given him more than his share of headaches. He always treated me fairly, even when I was causing havoc.

After graduation I was fortunate to form a friendship with him and always enjoyed our time together.

Dan Ross was a GREAT teacher, TERRIFIC administrator and one hell of a nice guy.

I mourn his...
