Not sure what to say?

Pam and Family,
My mom ( Betty Sugrue )just told me about your dads passing.I am so sorry for your loss.

I will never forget the support I received from both Dan and Sally while I was principal at Potrero Hill MS during the 1990's. Much of the success we gained during those years was due to Dan and Sally's help in the Art and Music programs. I knew Dan for over 30 years and will miss seeing him around.

While I had only met Dan on two very special occasions, the marriage of his grandaughter, Melanie and "big" birthday of daughter, Sandi, it was immediately clear that he was a wonderful man. His many gifts and contributions to all shine through his daughter, Sandi. She is an absolute joy and lights up the lives of so many people. The Ryan family has lost a special person and my heart and thoughts are with you all. Shellie Cunningham (Santa Rosa, CA)

Sandi, your father sounds like he was a great man who lived a full, rewarding, and honorable life. My condolences to you and your family for his passing.

I have the honor of working with Sandi at HSMS, it is clear her fathers' legacy is alive and strong in Sandi, as she lights up our school daily with her caring and loving energy. I am so sorry for your loss and my heart and prayers are with you at this tough time.

I am sad for your family's loss. What a great contribution to public educatoin. His legacy reaches far and wide.

It was my privilege and pleasure to serve with Dan on the Parkside Library campaign. My deepest
sympathy to his entire family. His community and the school arts in San Francisco have lost an amazing and constant supporter and leader.

Dear Sally & Family, I am deeplly sadden to hear of Dan's death. He was a great Boss and I am convinced that without his and your perseverance the School of the Arts would not exist today. May the road rise to meet him, may the wind be always at his back, the sun shine warm upon his face, the rains fall soft upon his fields and until you meet again, may God hold him in the palm of his hand.

Sally I am so so sorry for your loss. I will miss our chats at school and in the pool at the Y during the summer. We are all so grateful for Dan's work and dedication, especially at Feinstein. He was a wonderful man.
