Maureen & Scott w\ G. Uncle Dan, Freemont CA. 1977

Uncle Dan was my great Uncle. When I was six, he and Aunt Joan came out to California for their honeymoon. Feeding the geese with him at the park is one of my earliest memories. During the 1980's, we had a summer cabin on the south side of George Lake. I remember walking over to the other side to visit with them a few times.
I had not seen him in over 20 years and had just been thinking of him. I found out last month, Aunt Jo, whom we used to go visit in Hale, had passed away...

Uncle Dan, what great memories you have left us all with. Being up north and finally getting old enough to play Tonk. The fun we had at mar and dale place. Thanks for everything and like I told Aunt Joan I won't say goodbye but till we meet again. Give my mom and dad a hug from all of us.

Our condolences.

Hey Dan, Belinda St. Bridge, Woodside Theater,Andy Abeares, The Roof Next Door, popping corn on the stove in the fish shanty, bunnies, fresh mown hay, frogging, "deuces wild", "White Stallions", "Gone Fishin" and so much more! You will never be forgotten!Love to you and Joan."A Perfect Match"

Hey Dan.Thanks for all the memories. What a great friend I just lost.Your dear wife Joan and you were 2 of the kindest people I have ever known. Her cookies were always great.I always enjoyed visiting you guys and I was always treated like family.May you rest in peace with your sweetheart that you missed very much.May God be with you.You will always be in my heart.

uncle dan, I will never forget dancing with you at your wedding reception, mainly because it was on the evening before my high school graduation, which is probably why I will always remember yours and Aunt joans wedding date.I hope you are enjoying your family reunion up in heaven. With you passing on,I guess that means that me and my fellow first cousins comprise the oldest generation of the family of RODDIE SAVAGE and THERESA TRUDELL...However, our family tree will continue to grow for many...
