Dear Mary and the rest of the Schaefer family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. As you well remember, we go back quite a ways through St. Mary's and then Marian High. Dan was always the strong quiet type but always got through the assignment, be it school or sports. Dan and I were almost always on the same team with Church League and Little League baseball teams and since we were only one grade apart, we also shared the same classroom at St. Mary's.
