Not sure what to say?

We competed against each other in 7th and 8th grade (we won). Dan came to 9th grade in LF. We became fast friends and teamed together, 3 sports, 4 years. So many great memories. We stayed hooked up for all this years. I had lunch with him 4 weeks before we lost him. What a loss it was. Gone but clearly not forgotten.

I met Dan when I first moved to Minnesota in 1975, a great guy, true free spirit and very honest and smart.
Enjoyed his friendship and company ever since, he will be truly missed.
Our condolences.

To Kay and the Shimek family, please accept my sincere sympathy with Dan's passing. He was a wonderful man.

So very sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was a fine gentleman and I send my blessings to the Shimek family.

Shimek family, we were truly sorry to hear of the sudden passing of such a great man. Dan always put a smile on our face when he came into the store. He will be missed!!

To Dan's family, you have our deepest sympathy. I knew Dan through 3M, Apple Valley , and Heat and Glow. Stacey our daughter used to babysit quite often. I liked Dan a lot, he was a good guy, I will miss him.

I was blessed to know Dan Shimek. He was a man of integrity, generosity, kindness and humility whom I respected nearly the moment we met. His eternal flame will burn brightly in the hearts and hearths of all who were fortunate to have met him. My condolences to his beloved family. Dan was a successful businessman but he was an even more successful husband, father and friend.

For Dan's family, we extend our deepest sympathy. With him we enjoyed conversations of Washington DC days and other happy discussions.

Dave and I are so sorry for the sudden loss of a great husband, loving father and great friend. We didn't know him well, but we know Jess and she always spoke highly of her day. Jess, when you get back to AZ please know we are here for you!
