I missed Danny's last few years but still remember him from when we were kids at our Grandparents house. My mother was his Aunt Mae.

SHIPP, Daniel Frederick, 61, of Richmond, went to be with his beloved wife, Carilee F. Shipp, on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. He is survived by his mother, Betty Nolen; son, Michael Joshua Shipp and his wife, Joann Lynn Shipp. Services will be private. The family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

I hadn't seen Danny or his family in many, many years but I enjoyed knowing him when we were young. I'm sorry to hear that he is gone. Our grandmother outlived all of her children too so my sympathy goes out to Aunt Betty as well. It is true that too many in our family have died too young.

Danny is amongst many of our relatives who have departed this Earth much too early. We may find comfort in the belief that they are together, sharing their thoughts and memories, and watching over us.
