I am so sorry; Prof. Simmonds brought an energy to the classroom that made learning what it should be- fun and vital with the ability to internalize. He made me think in a way I would never have thought. My condolences to his family and friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about Professor Simmond's passing. I have to quote another student in saying that he was a force. He really was. I took one of his courses my first year at Hunter, and I loved his lectures- which were educational, always lively and full of hilarious stories. He was not only a gifted teacher, but a memorable one.

I am in shock right now after learning about Professor Simmond's death. He was so lively and made every single day of class fun and educational. He had the most outgoing personality. Even after the class ended, I had thought about him from time to time. He will truly be missed.
