My foundest memory of Rev. Simmons is when he taught in the Board of Examiner classes he was radical but it was full of truth I will always remember him as mentor and teacher

Dr. Daniel Simmons was my personal friend while I served in the A.M.E. Church as a Pastor. I met him through the late Dr. G.L. Champion, Sr. Dr. Simmons was a Scholar and a
Gentleman. Servant of God Well Done!

You have my deepest sympathy. Mr. Simmons was such an phenomenal individual. I have so many great memories. When I was stationed at Charleston AFB I met him from the workout group. Our workout sessions were at 5am, Monday-Friday, and he was always there. He was dedicated, and always positive. He always had a smile on his face, always encouraging, and had words of wisdom.
