Daniel Morris Singer

I knew Mr. Singer when I was a young man, back in the late 1970's, and what I remember is his easy smile and laughter. Though I was just a young man he made me feel seen and always took the time to speak with me, even to allowing me to visit him in his office at Watergate one time. At a time when I was lacking a strong male role model in my life, he filled that void and demonstrated to me how a man should lead his family, be gentle yet firm, and with 3 daughters (our family had no girls...

I served on the DC Appleseed Board when Dan was Chair, and succeeded him in that position. I recall the immense high regard that Board members had for Dan; his calm, thoughtful, and patient, approach; and his sound decisions. I am saddened by his passing.
