DANIEL EUGENE SMITH, JR., , 39, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010. Danny was a devoted husband, amazing father, wonderful uncle, and a dear friend to many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Judi Smith; son, Chance Smith; daughters, Katelyn Smith and Kylie Smith; parents, Linda & Sonny Ponce; sister, Wendy Lorda; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Curtis & Carolyn Shedd and numerous other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kingsland Baptist Church, in Katy, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Larry Shedd, Youth Minister Matthew Shedd and Rev. Alex Kennedy officiating. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
Those wishing to make memorial gifts may do so to the scholarship fund for his children at Bank of America.

My heart and prayers goes out to the Smith Family at these difficult times. I worked with Judy at First Union Service Center(nka Wachovia) in 1995. Danny hired me when he worked for Alliance Mortgage(nka EverBank)in 2002.

I am overwhelmingly sad to hear of the news of Danny's passing. I worked with him at Aegis, he was such a great guy and talked of his family often. He loved you all so much. I will be thinking of you and sending good energy your way. Bless you

I am not a friend of the family, but i have lost a loved one in death. Through my studies I have learned that there will be a time that we can see our loved ones again. This information has helped my family in our time of need and i hope that it helps your family as well.
