Daniel Lynell Strickland Sr.

Mr. Daniel "Danny" Lynell Strickland, Sr, 33 died suddenly Tuesday (August 4, 2009). He was a native of Clinch County but had lived most of his life in Ware County. He had made his home in Brantley County for the past several years. He had attended schools in the Ware and Brantley County School Systems. He was a boilermaker and loved spending time with his family and his children. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Lynell Strickland, a sister, Deborah Ann Strickland, a son, Dakota Strickland, and a grandmother, Evelyn Rose Strickland. Survivors include a daughter, Carla Strickland of Waycross; two sons, Daniel Strickland, Jr of Waycross, and Lee Manning of Nahunta; his mother and step-father, Betty Taylor Moore and Charles Moore of Hoboken; his step-mother, Marlene Manning Strickland of Blackshear; three sisters, Linette Mater (husband Harold) of North Dakota, Mandy Clever (husband Carlyle) of Waycross, and Ashley Moore of Hoboken; his maternal grandmother, Myrtle Taylor Tyre of Waycross; the mother of his children, Tasha Williams Strickland of Waycross, and numerous other relatives. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday (August 7, 2009) in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends the hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
