Daniel Owen Stuart

Daniel Owen Stuart Sr., age 45, of Battle Creek and formerly of Tekonsha died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Battle Creek Health System. Mr. Stuart was born on February 15, 1964 in Marshall to James Owen and Linda (Cavinder) Stuart. He had lived in this area the majority of his life and had lived in Arizona for a short time. He had been employed Jet Tech in Battle Creek for many years. A marriage to the former Karen Fowler ended in divorce. He then married Melissa Goins. Daniel enjoyed spending time in the out of doors and had been an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his family, especially time spent with his grandchildren. Daniel was always in the company of his two dogs, his faithful companions. He is survived by a son, Douglas (Kristi) Stuart of Coldwater; daughters, Stacy (Ryan) Stuart of Tekonsha and Stephanie Stuart of Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; parents, James and Linda Stuart of Tekonsha; paternal grandmother, Jennie Stuart of Tekonsha; sister, Debra Barrington of Tekonsha; and brother, David (Michelle) Stuart of Tekonsha. He is preceded in death by a son, Daniel O. Stuart and daughter, Sasha Stuart. The family will receive friend on Saturday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Marshall from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service to celebrate the gift of his life will be held at 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
