Not sure what to say?

Chief Dan Sullivan was solely responsible for my success with The NYPD. The years I enjoyed around him and his family still bring me joy 35 - 40 years later and I am grateful to have known him. One of the few straight shooters I have ever come across in my life. I am saddened to learn of his passing. I offer my heartfelt condolences and love to the entire Sullivan Family. He was truly a great man!

Our deepest sympathy on the death of Dan. God has a special person in his arms. We ask Gods blessing on Mary and his beloved family.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Sullivan and the Sullivan family. Although it has been many years, as a former classmate of Ellen, I have fond memories of spending time with Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan and family in Staten Island and Tuxedo Park.

Deepest condolences to the Sullivan family. My husband , retired Chief James H Lawrence and I (Gail Brown Lawrence, retired 2nd grade detective) both had the pleasure of working for and with Chief Dan Sullivan. He was a true gentleman and always a fair boss. May he Rest In Peace

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sullivan family this week- god bless.

As a fairly recent (20 year) friend (quasi-family member) of this particular Sullivan dynasty, I have come to understand the many reasons for its members' respect for, love of and devotion to their patriarch. Pops was a man whose children admired and strove to please and make proud. They succeeded for he was a person who beamed when he was with his family and his loving sweetheart, Mary. Heaven has welcomed Dan Fran Sullivan, and those who knew him smile as we remember him. God bless you all.

The love of a father lives forever on our hearts.

Until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the hollow of his hand.

Amen
