Ken and Rosemary, you have my deepest sympathy on the unexpected death of your son. I will hold you and your family up in prayer.

You knew me as Helen Van De Weert, Ruth Swaagman and I taught at Racine Christian School when you, Ken, were principal. Ruth and I baby sat for your two oldest sons several times.

My oldest daughter, Diane, went to Germany on Calvin's interim one year in a group that Dan was with.

Again, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew Dan from his time with us in the PRIP Lab of CSE here at Michigan State University. He was a solid student and person and we were glad to have him work with us. His face recognition work with Dr Weng earned strong acclaim. It was good to read about all his accomplishments since being here with us. He has left us too soon -- my condolences to all his family and colleagues.

Ken, Rosemary, and family. I was so saddened to read of Dan's recent death. We will be praying for all of you during this very difficult time. We love you all. Eric and Kaylyn Anderson (Grand Rapids, MI)
