Daniel VanWinkle

Dan and Jan were our first friends when Sue and I moved to Ithaca in 1971. We cheered on young Deanna and shared lots of inexpensive dinners as fellow Cornell grad students. Dan was a Navy guy and I was a Marine, but we got along just fine. We camped, photographed, and even tried to cross-country ski together. They say old friends are the best friends. Dan was always there with a song, laughter, and good stories. He'll be missed, but not forgotten
