My son, Devon Larson, has never had a lot of friends. Daniel was one of his friends, and a really good one. I'm so grateful for that. I remember Devon shooting up some huge fireworks on July 4 that year after Daniel died, in honor of him. They were cool. I hope Daniel saw them. This year I would like to take my son out to Mount Calvary Cemetery here in Topeka so he can visit. I think that's important to do. I'd like it too.

I couldn't believe this showed up in my email today. Daniel Warner is you touched many people in your short time on Earth. My granddaughter thought you were the best of best friends and she has named her son born in March after you. So we think of you daily and we share the story of how my great grandson got his name. Daniel Warner you live on in are ♥.

I used to work at the cotton candy sales that the Shawnee Heights ROTC did during football season. I remember Daniel as being a funny kid with an attitude that just made him so much fun. He was kind of a smarty at times, but he'd flash that smile and you knew he was just kidding. I enjoyed working with him so much. He was also a good friend to my son, Devon, and I'm grateful for that. Just a wonderful person.

Daniel was one of my best friends...i could tell him anything and everything and he would always be there for me no matter the problem. He knew how to make everyone smile and laugh and just enjoy themselves. He was always the one i could go to at any time and he'd just..be there. I loved him like family and no one will ever be able to replace the spot he had in my life..

Daniel was my best friend for a very long time to the point i could call him family. I remember our late night calls and when he would cheer me up. He was the one i could go to. I loved him as a brother and I did not expect this happening it hurts me and everyone else who knew him

Mr. and Mrs. Warner and Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I had Daniel as a student last year at Shawnee Heights HS. I still remember having a conversation with him one day about Catholic Heart Workcamp. We connected in that way; I could tell that he loved service as well. I couldn't make it to his funeral because I was on the east coast working on staff for Catholic Heart, but know that all of you have been in my thoughts and prayers. May Daniel rest in peace.
